Questions You Might Have
We at Wood’s Heating Service are at your service to provide answers to any of the questions you may have concerning your heating and cooling systems. For your convenience, we have included many FAQs on our site:
Why should I get a service plan?
A service plan saves you money and increases your peace of mind. When you pay as you go for repairs and service, you never know when a big, expensive bill might come. A Wood’s Heating service plan helps reduce those big bills and lets us keep you in total comfort.
What about an annual tune-up?
It’s included in our service plans. Every system should be tuned up once a year. A tune-up can reduce your oil bills by as much as 10%, and it prevents problems from developing. It is money well spent!
What are Loyalty Credits?
When you invest in us, we invest in you – with Loyalty Credits. For each consecutive year that you buy a service plan, you earn $50 in Loyalty Credits. You can use the credits toward the purchase of a new furnace, boiler, burner, or other equipment. You can accumulate up to $500 in Loyalty Credits.
- $100.00 for an oil tank installation
- $100.00 for a Hot water heater installation
- $250.00 for an AC installation
- $250.00 for an automatic standby generator installation
- $500.00 for a new boiler installation
Will I be charged extra for after-hour calls?
When you are a service plan customer, you don’t pay any overtime charges for emergency service calls after regular business hours. Having no heat or no hot water, or having a major fuel leak, are considered emergencies. If you do have an emergency, contact us by phone at (401) 434-1487.
Do you offer a service plan that covers more than my heating system?
Yes, we have service plans for oil-fired water heaters and central air conditioning (A/C) units. Protecting all of your home comfort equipment is important for its efficiency and longevity, especially if you have recently made the investment in a new heating or cooling system.
Will I be charged for labor on parts not covered by the service plan?
Yes, but if you select comprehensive protection with our Total Comfort Plan, most heating system parts that could need repair or replacing are covered.
How can I pay for my service plan?
We accept cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover for payment, or the cost of your service plan can be added to your budget plan.
What should I do if I have more than one burner or heating unit or some other special circumstances?
Call us and we’ll design coverage that works for you.
